Chapter 9: The Story of The Reaper Part 4 and The Birth of Agent Massachusetts

(So the title of this Chapter will show mostly you in the Present chasing The Meta, a little Chi POV, and killing South, then to The Reaper(You) during his moments before and during the mission to the Sarcophagus, and will show you being Massachusetts, well, written)

Washington starts shaking (F/N), "Wake up."

Church and Caboose were waiting, "Private Caboose, come wake your brother up."

"Yeah, I'd rather stay here."

"That's an order, Private."

"Just wait for him to wake up, best not to poke the shark, or bear, or dragon. Just stop shaking him."

"Is there something you want to tell me?" Wash looks at the two.

"(F/N) can be a bit, violent, when woken from his sleep, suddenly." Church said.

"Really? How would you know?" Wash asks.

"Well, Tex found it out the hard way, took all three of us to restrain him till he snapped out of it."

"I'll take my chances, and your word for it."

"Alright your funeral." Church said.

Wash kneels down, he taps (F/N)'s Mark V visor, only for (F/N) to grab his throat and slam him down on the ground, choking him, Church and Caboose rush over.

"G-G-get......h-h-him....O-O-O-OFF!"

Caboose restrains (F/N), Church hits him in the head with the butt of his sniper, (F/N) shakes his head, Caboose releases (F/N) and pats his back.

"What were you dreaming about this time?"

"Nothing. Shall we?" (F/N) starts walking.

Wash looks at him, then back to the Blues, "What has he told you about his career?"

"Besides that he was framed?" Chi appears.

"And how you believed in The Director that he was the enemy?" Church starts.

"And how you didn't throw him a Goodbye Party?" Caboose says.

"I've got tons of videos and recordings he did during his past, like how he swept the floor with you, North, South, Wyoming, Florida, Maine, York, Texas, and Carolina."

"You were helping him!" Wash says.

"I was running his Healing Unit, that's about it, you know how Caboose is also crazy strong? (Points at You) Bingo, followed his footsteps. (F/N) was a Spartan and ODST, Freelancers used their AIs and other gadgets to be the best, and where has that gotten them?"

"You're part of Project Freelancer too, Chi."

"No, I'm part of the UNSC, stolen by Agent Massachusetts, well, more like brought along for the ride to destroy Project Freelancer."

"How so?"

"Wanna know why Tex is against Project Freelancer? And how most others were too?"

"What did he do?"

"Chi-"

"Fuck off David, anyway, (F/N) acted like Loki from The Avengers, good way of showing people the ugly truth, and there was some, dispute, inside Project Freelancer."

"Oh, I can't wait for him to show us this story, then I'll laugh in Washington's face."

"I'm right here."

"I know."

"Anyway, Chi, is he alright?"

"His heart rate is extremely high, whatever he was dreaming about gave him a good scare."

Church and Caboose look at each other, then to Chi, "Is he still acting the way he does when he has nightmares?"

"Not this time." Chi says before disappearing.

"That's....not good." Caboose said.

"What's not?" Washington asks.

"Hey! Let's go!" (F/N) calls back to them.

They walk to him, "It's.... something we can't discuss."

"One way or another, I'll find out." Wash said.

(Flashback to (F/N) before the mission going to New Mombasa)

(F/N) was training with wooden practice dummies with a staff, these dummies spin too, he was testing his reaction timing, his agility, basically preparing himself for this Mission.

And the plan.

Jett walks in, "Yo."

(F/N) blocks the dummies attacks and halts them from spinning anymore, then walks to Jett, "We ready?"

"Almost, just making sure you're okay with this crazy, bullshit plan of yours."

"As long as us four do our part when the plan is in motion."

"Four?"

"Yeah, Chi is helping, remember?"

"Oh, right. Are you sure I can't talk you out of this?"

"Okay, Jett." (F/N) tosses the staff, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, why?"

"I was a Marine, ODST, Mercenary, Spartan, Freelancer, and now a member of this Resistance they've been calling you, I can tell when someone is hiding something from me, and when they lie, so spill your shit before I spill it out for you then spread your shit."

Jett sighs, he leans by the wall and takes his helmet off, dropping it by the floor, "How many times have you had a near-death experience?"

"Lost count."

"How many times have you faked your death?"

"In total, 2 times, I faked it one time, the Director faked it one time."

"What if he finds out your still alive? And the 3rd time is a charm? You, Connie, and the rest of our team, you guys are all I have."

"Jett..." (F/N) places his hand on his shoulder, "You're not gonna lose all of us, and besides, we have one thing the Freelancers don't have anymore, something they lost."

"And what's that?"

(Present Time)

(F/N) was keeping watch while the others and Chi were searching for stuff in the Pelican, since Sheila was removed from the Pelican they needed his help, he was cloaked, Chi pops back into his helmet, "What they find?"

"Nothing really, but they deduced that Omega was the one causing the infection to spread."

"Infection? Oh, you mean..."

"Basically hopping from host to host and killing each other, so The Meta claimed Omega, and Gamma."

"Gamma?"

"Tucker trapped him on the ship, Sheila left the Firewall up so he couldn't escape."

"I'll be damned, the Reds and Blues are much more crafty then my Freelancers, well, The Director's Freelancers, wait, it's collecting AI...."

"Not just AI, armor enhancements too, reports also said people seeing a cloaked person. Only you and Tex had Active Camo, and Tex's body was aboard the ship. Also Wyoming's helmet, one of them, was aboard this ship."

"Ah shit." He walks over to the three and uncloaks.

"How many AIs and Armor Enhancements does The Meta have?" Wash looks at him in shock.

"How do you-"

Wash's recovery beacon goes off, he answers a call from command, turns out South Dakota is in trouble, "Yes. Yes she is." Wash said, pissed.

"What did South do too you?" Chi asks.

"She got her brother North killed, betrayed me by shooting me in the back, left me for the Meta, and ran off with Delta, so if I seem a bit pissed by hearing her, then that's why."

"I wouldn't say a bit, David." (F/N) said.

"Call me David one more time, and it'll be the last word you'll say."

"Geez, were you always like this?" Church asks him.

"Not even close, Church, he was the worst of his squad, but he'd always have potential."

"Stop patronizing me, now let's go."

"Which way then?" Caboose asks.

"Back the way we came, Church, you'll ride with Caboose, (F/N) will ride with me, and I'll drive."

"On the way you can tell him how you got Sheila and Junior out of the Pelican." Caboose says.

"Something for you guys to clear the air." Church jokes.

(F/N) was sitting on the Mongoose with Washington, Church and Caboose weren't far behind as they were driving to South's location, "How did you manage to save a computer program and a baby alien, instead of a Freelancer and her AI?"

"Sheila, her name is Sheila, and the baby alien is Junior."

"But why them? Why not Tex and Omega?"

"Tex didn't want to be saved, Wash."

"I wouldn't know, Agent Texas was always confusing and mysterious. But what happened, I'm actually curious."

"Alright, basically Omega, O'Malley, whatever, was hopping around in the Reds and Blues, which resulted in Tex knocking them out to get Omega to jump into her, this all started after Wyoming had us hostage, he used his Time Loop so whenever he was beated, we go back to why they needed Tucker's kid. I didn't realize until I saw Michael get gunned down by Gary, Gamma, who controlled the tank, but thank god Church shot Wyoming with the sniper, actually hitting something for once. Turns out he did it twice, well three times, actually I lost count, I didn't realize until Wyoming tried to shoot Tucker, he even knew where Tex was, then I saw Michael run over the hill I threw my bubble shield that I still had, I threw it at Caboose and it protected him from the sniper shot, then time reset, and Tucker managed to fool Wyoming, even stabbed him in the back with his sword after Wyoming found Tex's spot. Became quite the badass for a while, guess that Energy Sword changed him. But then we found a whole army of Wyomings under the Red Base, Tucker defeated Gamma, the Reds helped kill some of the Wyomings, one was left alive, well he was killed by Tex later."

That last one was a lie, (F/N) knocked out the last Wyoming.

"Where were you during the battle against the Wyomings?"

"Trying to get Sheila."

(Back in Blood Gulch, Past)

(F/N) boards the Pelican with his Active Camo, he hooks a chip into the Pelican.

"Hello (F/N)- Wait, what are you doing?"

"I'll explain later, but right now keep quiet and act normal."

"You're extracting me from the ship. But I like it here, and I'm the only one to keep the Gamma AI, or Gary, trapped in here."

"Not if Chi and I upload a virus to keep him busy, along with several Firewalls. Chi."

"Get fucked Gary." Chi appears then disappears.

"That was rude." Gamma said.

"Well, then I guess I could allow myself to be extracted."

"Who else will Lopez be able to talk to besides me and Chi? And you two have a thing- Oh shit, aliens, 9 o'clock." A Green Alien with Junior boards, the Green Alien turns around waiting, for Tex and Omega most likely, Junior then notices (F/N), (F/N) looked at Junior and puts a finger up to the front of his helmet, where his lips would be, making a invisible shush sign, (F/N) then notices Tex board.

"Sheila, are you ready?" Omega was in her.

"All systems online. Ignition Coil activated. Starting thrusters."

(F/N) feels the ship levitate off the ground, "Launch when ready." Tex plugs in Wyoming's helmet, well it's actually the one they left alive.

"Please take your seats."

'Come on, come on.' The extraction was almost done.

"Launching in 3, 2, 1. Liftoff."

100% done, (F/N) pulls Sheila out, then moves quickly to grab Junior and jump out of the Pelican, Tex saw him do it, and smiled.

(Back on the road)

They hear explosions, "Shit, floor it!"

Wash does so, (F/N) and Wash can see them, there was a Bubble Shield, and inside it, South Dakota, who had the Delta AI, and (F/N) sees....

"Wait-"

"There they are." Wash calls out.

The Meta heard him and looks at them, "New targets encountered." Delta calls out.

"Don't let it get near her" (F/N) looks behind too see Church drive off into a tree, 'Really?' He looks back to see Wash drift and stop, they both jump out as it fires on the Mongoose.

"And don't let her get away." Wash said.

"Her? Is she a Freelancer like you two?" Church asks.

"Yeah, just don't let her leave." Wash opens fire on The Meta, (F/N) opens fire on him too.

"(F/N), is that Maine?"

"It is." (F/N) mutters.

"What?" Wash asks (F/N), "How should we capture South?" (F/N) asks.

"I'll deal with The Meta, you sneak around and grab her before she flees."

"Sounds solid, sync?"

"Sync."

"Go-"

"Okay." Caboose said as he opens fire on South, hitting her as she falls to the ground.

"Ahh! Son of a..."

"Alarm, friendly fire."

(F/N) looks at Caboose and chuckles, "Um, she got in the way when I was trying to help her."

"Okay, we're good." Church calls out.

"Good thinking, you two." (F/N) praises them, he looks back to see The Meta cloak.

"Damn." (F/N) said.

"It's gone invisible. Keep an eye on your motion trackers, and watch your perimeters. Look for a shimmer." Wash said as he and (F/N) go over to them and take cover by the barrier.

"It can turn invisible? What is this thing?" Church asks.

"It takes the equipment of other Freelancers. It must have picked up cloaking from Tex." Wash explains.

"Wait a second, any equipment?" Church asks.

"Yes. And Tex's cloaking wasn't the only thing on that ship, Church." (F/N) said.

"Shit, Wyoming. Cover me." Church jumps over and beelines it to the Rocket Launcher.

"What? Wyoming?! Caboose, cover him. Grab those spike grenades. (F/N), start flanking to the left." (F/N) does so.

"No, don't let Caboose help me." The Meta uncloaks.

"There it is." The Meta shoots at Church, "Hey, how about a little help out here?" Church shouts.

(F/N) gets inside the bunker and sees two Mauler pistols(Brute Shotgun pistols basically), he picks both up, "Ready Chi?"

"Ready."

(F/N) runs out and jumps at Maine, or Meta, "Surprise Mother-"

Time slows down, Church fires the Rocket Launcher, (F/N) fires both Mauler pistols, Wash and Caboose jump over the barrier as a spike grenade explodes, and they all freeze.

(In Chi's POV)

"(F/N)? (F/N)? David? Michael? Church? Fuck." Chi watches as The Meta walks away from the Rocket that was close to hitting him, and the Mauler shots too, he walks over to Washington and aims his pistol at him.

"Hey baldy!" The Meta turns around, and sees Chi, all the AI Fragments he had appeared and whispers are heard, "Oh shit." Chi said to himself, Sigma whispers to Maine.

"A Full AI, and his name is Chi, doesn't that belong to Agent Massachusetts?" The Meta growls.

All of the AI surround Chi, "Well well, Chi, we have heard a great many deal about you." Sigma said.

"Long time no see, Chi." Gamma said.

"I knew The Meta got his hands on you, where's Omega?"

"Right here." Omega appears, "There you are, douche. How did you get caught by The Meta? Or did you find a new victim to take over?"

"Funny, this Meta, once known as Agent Maine, took me against my will, as he will do to you after he kills Agent Massachusetts."

"Over my erased synthetic body." Chi said, crossing his arms.

"That can be arranged." Sigma said, "Join us, and we'll let the others live."

"Bullshit Sigma, I'm much smarter than you all, all of you are Fragments, not even a full AI, I am, how can Maine run me and all of you at the same time?"

"He's capable." Sigma smirks.

"But I wasn't made from The Director."

"Ah yes, Doctor Halsey. She helped start the Spartan II program, and made another AI like you, Cortana was it?"

"You know who she is."

"We did research." Gamma said.

"Yes, and how long do you have left, Chi?" Omega asks.

"I still a few more years in me."

"We'll shorten those years, if you don't join us." Sigma threatens, gesturing to The Meta, pulling out his pistol and aiming at (F/N)'s head.

"I will fucking deconstruct your synthetic ass, Sigma."

"Chi." The Beta appears, or mostly known better as....

"Tex?"

"Just do it, you can't fight all of us at once."

"I would listen to her, we all didn't have a choice." Theta said.

"Neither did us." Eta and Iota said together.

"Listen to them Chi." Sigma said, The Meta walks over to (F/N)'s suspended body, "Now, what's it gonna be?"

"I think I wasted enough of your time, Sigma." Chi smirks under his helmet.

Sigma gives a confused look and watches as The Meta's armor suffers a electrical charge, he growls, he looks to his right to see the Rocket move slowly, Sigma looks at Chi in shock.

"You know Wyoming's Time Distortion was used for rewinding time, like restarting to a last checkpoint in a video game after dying or failing a objective, but stopping time? That's a good upgrade, but still like in a game, it doesn't stay paused forever."

Sigma flashes in anger, "This isn't over Chi, We are The Meta, and we will find you, very soon." Sigma and the others but Tex disappear, time stops for these two.

"It was good seeing you guys again, for a brief time." Tex says to Chi, Chi goes to her and places a hand on her shoulder, "Come with us Alison."

"I can't."

"More like you don't want too, why? Let us help you."

"Because, like I told (F/N) when I was still Alive, as a Human, 'Don't waste your time trying to save people who don't want to be saved.'"

"That's how you died, self-sacrifice."

"Yep, and this is how The Director brings me back, as a Shadow."

"Shadows are hardly noticed, you have been bringing unwanted attention to The Blood Gulch crew ever since you showed up." Chi jokes.

Tex chuckles a little, "So did you two. But still, save yourselves, I don't need saving."

Chi sighs, "Alright, I'll try and keep them safe though, I promise." Tex hugs Chi(Sigma once touched Delta's shoulder in Season 10), "Don't make a girl a promise, if you know you can't keep it."

Chi returns the hug, they let go and part ways, "I hate saying this, but, Goodbye." Tex fades away, Chi still stands there "Goodbye." The Meta cloaks and runs off, Chi then looks back at the Rocket.

"Okay, touchy moment over, now, let's see what we got here, oh yeah, M41 Rocket Launcher, with 102mm High-Explosive Rockets, this could kill you, but that is if I wasn't running the Healing Unit, but let's find some other alternatives so you don't take a Rocket to the chest." Looks at his feet, "Not close enough to the ground for Speed Boost, can't do any fancy shit in the air like that, can't shoot the Rocket with those Maulers, you don't have Time Distortion either or the bubble shield. But you have Overshield, alright, got a plan, let's run those Overshields, and I'm talking too myself."

(F/N)'s Overshields kick in, his armor layered with blue electrical pulses, "Alright, suck it up (F/N), you got incoming. And no way I'm telling you what happened today in front of Wash." Chi disappears.

(Back to You)

"-Fucker- OH SH-!"

BOOM

The Rocket came in contact with (F/N), "OH SHIT! SORRY (F/N)!"

Wash and Caboose look at (F/N), "Are you.... okay?" Wash asks.

".......Ow." Chi appears.

"Sorry, it was either that or you and York have matching eyes, but you'll be dead or incapacitated, I don't care, you're alive and that's thanks to me."

(F/N) groans from the Rocket Shot, "Thanks. Ouch." (F/N) shakes it off.

Church angrily walks too Washington, "It used Agent Wyoming's stupid time thing from the ship! What's wrong with you, why didn't you tell us it could use equipment?"

"Why didn't you tell me that Wyoming was on the ship?" Wash counters.

"And why didn't someone give me something to yell about?" Caboose joins in.

They're cut off by South's moans of pain, they run up to her, well (F/N) was walking after the Rocket Incident, he catches up to them, "Delta, are you here?" Wash calls out.

"Affirmative. I am undamaged. However, Agent South is seriously wounded. May I suggest moving me to a new host?"

"Roger that. I don't trust her anyway. One of you three take him."

"I have Chi, so I'm full." Chi appears, "Sorry Delta." Chi said.

"It's alright, good seeing you again, Agent Massachusetts, Chi."

"Well, it's not Massachusetts anymore, you can call me (F/N), and nice seeing you again too."

"Same here Delta." Chi said.

"Church, can you take Delta?" (F/N) asks.

"Um, I don't think that I can..."

"I can hold on to Chi."

"Really? You alright with this Chi?" (F/N) asks Chi.

"Yeah, I never been in Caboose's head before, why not?" (F/N) takes Chi out the back of his helmet and hands him to Caboose, who puts the chip in the back of his helmet, (F/N) walks to South's body and takes Delta, South starts coughing.

"Delta, what happened?" Wash asks.

(F/N) decides to hang back and talk to Chi, privately, luckily, (F/N) got to a fair distance, like 20 yards or so, so Delta doesn't flicker, "Chi."

"Yes, it seems Agent Maine is this Meta, as we found out earlier, but had to be sure."

"Tex said Maine was becoming different because of Sigma, can't believed that slipped my mind."

"And because of Sigma, he's killed multiple Freelancers and Recovery Units, and other soldiers."

"He has Wyoming's Time Distortion, Tex's Cloaking..."

"Wash mentioned that The Meta, Maine, killed North, but South has his bubble shield, so that's off the list, but if she still does have it, I would advise you should grab said armor enhancement off of her person, since she won't be needing it anymore."

"Good plan, since Maine still has that Brute Shot, we'll be needing it, wait, can you wire it to be used as a regular bubble shield, like the ones ONI made?"

"You mean wire it so you can walk in and out of it and not get trapped?"

"Yeah."

"Yes I can, since I'm pretty sure that's how The Director gotten all his fancy toys." (F/N) walks over to South, Wash looks at him.

"What are you doing?" (F/N) crouches and takes the armor enhancement off of South, he takes the chip out the back of Caboose's head and puts it next to the armor enhancement, Chi absorbs it and sighs in relief, he gives a thumbs up and (F/N) tosses it.

"Hey! We needed that!"

"And I have it, Wash, well Chi does." (F/N) walks away from South and puts Chi back in Caboose's helmet.

South gets up, "I can't... I can't walk on my own."

"Well, I guess you'd better start crawling. If you think I'm leaving you here to escape, you've got another thing coming..."

"Agent Washington, if I may. Before you arrived, South attempted to turn me over to the Meta to save herself."

"Really?" Wash and (F/N) asked.

"Much like she wounded you to escape in our previous encounter with it. And as I have learned in our travels, her brother North suffered a similar fate."

Chi appears, "What a team player." He said sarcastically.

South looks at Chi, "What the.....aren't you.....?"

"Oh right! You only met me briefly, well, I'm Chi an Artificial Intelligence Program made by Doctor Catherine Halsey, I assist (F/N) Caboose, or The Reaper, or Agent Massachusetts as you know him better as one of his two personas, in running his armor enhancements, and helping him in other missions."

"That....can't be! Carolina killed you, we all saw it!"

"Now I can't wait to hear this story." Church jokes.

"(To Church)Later, (To South)good to see you again, South, but I'd be lying if I said that was to be true, Delta, you were saying?"

"It's highly probable that she will turn on us again soon. And in her current physical state, she will only hamper our progress." Delta said.

"What are you suggesting?" (F/N) asks.

"That we do not allow her to hamper our progress." Wash pulls out a pistol.

"Okay." He aims at South.

"Oh, come on, Wash. What are you going to do, shoot-"

BANG

South falls to the ground dead.

"Yes, good suggestion." Wash compliments Delta.

"You're welcome."

"Dude, you guys are some cold motherfuckers." Church said.

While Wash was blowing up South's body, Church, Caboose, (F/N), Chi, and Delta were finishing up a talk about Washington and his past with AI experience, Church asks (F/N) something.

"So Carolina, almost killed you?"

"Yes."

"How?"

"I'll show you all that, later."

"Why not now?" Caboose asks.

"Because I rather not skip ahead in the story. Well not this time, but it does give a little spoiler."

"A little? More like a half of it."

"How about I show you something else too keep your mind off of it for a while? Like when I was The Reaper, showing me before and during the mission that was called Sarcophagus."

"Sounds fair." Church said.

"Mind if I get the video as well?" Delta asks, surprising them except for Caboose, and Wash who was still blowing up South's body.

"Sure, Chi?"

"Done."

"Alright, how many parts of this Reaper story is there?" Church asks.

"Want the full version or just the really good stuff?"

"Good stuff." Church said.

(F/N) looks at Caboose, "The short version."

"Alright, then that's at least, 9 parts to it. One of them will star Chi and Tex, with some cameos."

"What's part 4- Hold on, hey! Green guy!"

"He's Blue." Caboose said, (F/N) chuckles, "He's talking about Delta."

"Oh, him."

"Hello. How may I be of assistance?"

They talk about Washington and his experience with A.I. in the past along with his sanity, (F/N) watches as Wash shoots, throws grenades at, burns, and explodes South's body, they also talk about Wash's A.I., Epsilon, and how the A.I. killed himself inside Wash's head, (F/N) looks back at Church.

"What a ringing endorsement." (F/N) jokes.

"I am filled with confidence." Church said sarcastically.

Wash walks back to them, saying he told Command that Caboose killed South, since they have a short-cut on their keyboard to report his team-kills.

"Control F.U."

"I would have told them you shot her, but I wanted it to be believable." Wash said walking away.

"Hey, my aim is fine." Church said, defending his aim, and ego most likely.

"And yet, The Meta managed to dodge your rocket somehow and it hits (F/N)."

"No, no, not dodge. It was there one second, and it was gone the next. Again, sorry (F/N)."

"Meh, I've had worse, kinda. But that's how we knew it was using Wyoming's power."

"And he was on the ship with Tex?" Wash asks.

"His head was." Caboose said.

Washington stops, "His head?" He asks in surprise.

"His helmet. Not everybody is as twisted as you are, Wash. Tex took it for some reason." Church said.

'One of the Mongooses are missing, Maine stole one to flee, but to where and why?' (F/N) looks at the tracks, Delta pops up and knows what he's thinking.

"Want me to analyze?" (F/N) nods.

Wash is then talking to Delta, same as Church and Caboose, later (F/N) heard the Alpha, he turns around to listen only for Wash to shout, "Delta! Command: Offline."

"Complying." Chi pops out, "Guess someone doesn't want any secrets spilled."

"Yeah, my trust on Wash is slimming." Wash's recovery beacon then goes off, Wash was starting to sound shocked, "Maine?! How can that be?"

"Uh-Oh." (F/N) and Chi said.

Church looks at (F/N), "What? Who's Maine? Another Freelancer?"

"Yeah, but, he is also-"

"Yeah it's him. It's The Meta."

"WHAT?!" Church shouts. "The Meta is a Freelancer?!"

After Church and Caboose and Washington found out that The Meta was former Agent Maine, they went off to Zanzibar, or The Last Resort, O'Malley's old evil Warehouse, or Fortress, before The Meta could power up and become a walking hulking death machine. They found a hidden Warthog in Church's base, so Wash drove that, with Caboose on turret, Church rode with (F/N) on the Mongoose. (F/N) plays the footage of Part 4 of The Reaper, Before and During the Heist.

(F/N) was training Girlie, (F/N) using his sword to block her knives, she holds them both up as (F/N) brings his sword down, (F/N) slowly brings it down as he puts his right hand on the back of the blade to force it, she grunts to keep it still, she then launches the sword out of (F/N)'s hands.

"Now I'm impressed." (F/N) jokes, he ducks a slash then leans back to dodge both, he then grabs both arms and headbutts her, then kicking her in the chest, she growls, "Come on you has-been."

"Now that was rude." (F/N) gets in fighting stance, Girlie swings one arm, the knife in her hand reversed gripped, (F/N) caught the arm and twists it, making her drop the knife and her grunting in pain, she tries again, only for (F/N) to disarm her, and throw her over his shoulder and onto the ground.

"Who was your Drill Instructor? Johnson?" (F/N) asks.

Girlie doesn't answer, she growls, "Right, training is over. Whose next?" (F/N) asks, looking back at the rest of the UNSC soldiers, the ODST soldiers, or Resistance Members as they were called, called by The Director, but they already went.

"Alright then, let's move on too-" Chi pops up, "Call from Jett."

"Put him on the screen." They walk up to the big screen, (F/N) grabs his sword and sheathes it, "Go ahead."

"Call from Connie, patching the audio through."

They hear many voices, (F/N) can hear The Director, Washington, Connie or C.T., Wyoming, North, and Carolina, they hear doors open and hear York, seems like York was injured since Carolina said he should be in the Medical Bay, but he didn't want his job taken, Wash asked Carolina if York is still okay, Carolina retorts saying he's fine, they go over the briefing, taking two teams, one team to go after, The Sarcophagus, and the other team to go after Rhee, the man with the briefcase, Team A that is infiltrating the building is Carolina, York, Washington and Maine, Team B after Rhee is North, C.T., and Wyoming, (F/N) hears Four Seven Niner in the background, she'll be there pilot, South won't be coming on this mission, C.T. jokes about that, she then mentions a new Recruit, and this Recruit is a she and if she is coming on this mission.

"She?" (F/N) wonders.

"Notice he didn't say no..." C.T. whispers. They finish speaking and audio stops there.

"ETA on their arrival?" (F/N) asks Jett.

"The Mother of Intervention is over the planet, Pelicans coming in." Jett appears on screen.

"7 minutes to prepare." Chi said, in ODST form.

"Alright, listen up, The Freelancers are on their, as we heard, they have two objectives, one team is going after The Sarcophagus, anyone knows what's in it?" Sniper raises his hand.

"Really? No need for hand raising, just shout it out."

"Oh, a Engineer, sir."

"That's right, and that Sarcophagus that contains the Engineer requires a code, and that code is in a briefcase, the one that our friend Rhee has, they get the briefcase, they have the codes, if they have the codes, they can open and release the Engineer, if they reach it in time. They get both, then we go to Plan B, which is irrelevant to Plan A! Now then, Girlie, Silent Sleeveless guy, grab your jet-packs and held to the Hornets, Sniper, same with you, Demo, Sharkface, guard this tower, stay in the command center and monitor all security with the UNSC soldiers here, Chi will assist you in security, since he can make locks that even if successfully bypassed, an alarm triggers."

"Dick move." Demo Man jokes.

"Meh, they have armor enhancements, you guys don't, nothing is fair, now, before I release you all, any questions?"

"Who are we going against, sir." Sharkface asks.

"Excellent question, Carolina is an expert at martial arts, her armor enhancements that Chi picked up on during the Oil Refinery that was blown up is Speed Boost and Camouflage, like a Chameleon, as in she's like The Flash, 57% of the time she will neglect her team when a competitive scenario occurs. Which is one of her weaknesses, Agent Washington, he's not much of a fighter, but is a excellent strategist, but has horrible timing, haven't seen his armor enhancement yet, but he's the second best at picking locks when it comes too his fellow Freelancers, Agent York is of course is the, quote on quote, 'Security Expert', he has a Healing Unit as a armor enhancement, so whenever he gets wounded, his healing unit will keep him going, he is also a Shotgun expert. So keep your distance. Now Agent Maine, he has a really, short temper, easy to anger, but he is like a Brute, or a Brute Chieftain expect his fists are Gravity hammers with the energy toned down, I don't know his armor enhancement, but I'm gonna say it's Brute Strength."

"And Team B?" Girlie asks.

"North Dakota is a Sharpshooter, damn fine one at that, no offense." (F/N) looks at the Sniper.

"I'll be the judge of that."

"His armor enhancement is a domed energy shield, blocks bullets from coming in and out, Chi analyzed it, you shoot a single bullet inside the shield, make sure you only get hit in the arm or leg, because the bullet will ricochet, without South Dakota, he'll be half the trouble, but stay down when he's firing on you, C.T. or Connecticut, she's a fighter, but we all know she's our eyes and ears on the inside of Project Freelancer, so if you see her, shoot to wound, not kill, now Wyoming, he likes to tell jokes, as he snipes you as well, I don't know if he's good as North, but also keep your head down. Any other questions?"

"Do they have A.I. like you do?" Demo asks.

"No. But if they get their hands on The Sarcophagus and the codes, then they will." He didn't say they would be fragments though.

"What about their new Recruit?" The Sniper asks.

"Guessing since The Director didn't confirm that this one is gonna be joining them, and how quick the response was, I'd say their Recruit is a wild card, so everyone on full alert, and if I'm right, this new Freelancer might be the same one who had a hand in destroying the Oil Refinery. Also, since they didn't mention me, I will also be your Wild card. Now, briefing over, MOVE OUT!" They all do.

Chi appears, "If Plan A fails, you sure Plan B will work?"

"When am I ever wrong?" (F/N) jokes.

"Well..."

"That was Rhetorical. Let's go grab a jet-pack, and if Plan B does happen and goes as planned, then Killing The Director will be much more pleasing then ever."

"The Pelicans are splitting up, you were right, one is heading to the VIP." Jett said.

"And the other is heading towards us." Demo responds back.

"Alright, remember, stay on guard, no fucking around with these Freelancers, I trained them, so no mercy. Well if it's C.T. then tone it down a little."

"A little?" Jett asks.

"Alright, tone it down a lot, but since it's North, Wyoming, and C.T., Rhee might get away. And look out for that new Freelancer, Girlie, Sleeveless Mute, and the Sniper will be your Response Team, if Team B gets the codes."

"Team A has arrived." Chi pops up, Demo, Sharkface, and (F/N) walk to the monitors, "Pull up the audio." Demo said.

Chi does, "We're in. York, get up here. How long to crack that lock?" Carolina asks.

"Should take about 60 seconds. You can give me 15." York said.

(F/N) shakes his head, grinning, "How hard did you make the lock Chi?"

"Not that hard."

"Wow, it's a holographic. That's high-end." York said, examining the lock.

"Can you get through it?" Carolina asks.

"Of course I can. You didn't bring me along for my good looks, did you?" He gets to work on the lock, "Whoever designed this is a genius."

The alarm goes off, (F/N) face-palms his visor, sliding his hand down, Chi laughs at his attempt, Demo and Sharkface chuckle.

"You were saying?" Carolina jokes.

"Okay, I take it back, whoever designed this is an asshole. There." York cracks the lock, opening the door.

Demo Man then realizes what door they unlocked, "Looks like we got an alert on Sector 7, so the lock they cracked-"

"That's the vault. Take a team up there now." (F/N) looks to Sharkface, he nods, "Find Agent York, I'll cover their escape routes." Demo Man nods and grabs his soldiers, they run off to find York, (F/N) takes Chi and walks out.

"Another Freelancer is on the roof."

"York?" (F/N) asks Chi as he enters the armory, grabbing his Katana in his sheathe and putting it on his back, he grabs his jet-pack, two Magnums, his knife.

"No, York is on his way up to the roof now."

"How do you know?" (F/N) picks up a prototype armor enhancement, given to him straight by Lord Hood, he puts it on his waist behind him, "Hacked into their comms, York had to sneak past Sharkface and his men."

"Hmm, thanks Chi. (Turns on Comm) Alright everyone, their Wild Card has appeared, Sharkface, have you encountered Team A?"

"My men are cutting through the doors now."

"Team B pissed off the locals, Cops are on their way."

"Smooth, alright, show time folks. (Turns of Comm and picks up a Gravity Hammer, places it on his back) Quickest way to roof?"

"Time to fly." Chi said.

(F/N) busts out a window and flies straight up, he goes cloaked and turns on his voice modifier, he stops before he reaches the top, he heard some explosions as he was passing up.

"Sharkface, this is Reaper, what's going on in The Vault."

Nothing.

"Sharkface?" Still nothing.

"Chi?"

"I can't check his vitals from here, and his radio isn't turned on, so Unknown for now."

"Demo, get some men to go and help Sharkface, see if he's alive."

"I sent a few men, chasing two Freelancers now, one in Aqua, the other in Black and Yellow."

"I'm creeping on the roof." (F/N) looks over, there's the Recruit, with some type of device, and in the distance, York.

"I found their Wild Card, Freelancer, full Black Armor, that's her, Agent York is up here too along with The Sarcophagus, ETA on the capture of your Freelancers-?"

On cue they bust through the doors on the roof, "Never mind. They're on the roof." (F/N) gets off comms, still cloaked, and watches the scene, his Gravity Boots kept him standing on the side of the building, turns out Carolina wasn't expecting this Freelancer to show up, and turns out the others didn't know that the Oil Refinery blew up, she was trying to cover their tracks. Demo Man kicks open the doors.

(F/N) jet-packs up, pulling out both Magnums and aims at the Four, they turn around, "Whoa, floating jet-pack." Washington said.

"Chi, did you make my jet-pack visible?" (F/N) whispers to him, Chi giggles, "Maybe.~"

"Drop your weapons!" Demo Man shouts, his men behind him, the Freelancers drop their weapons and turn around, (F/N) hovers down, Chi makes his jet-pack invisible. Demo Man looks at York, "You....dickhead! Disarm the bomb!"

"Easy, easy! No reason to get all dramatic! Okay, let me take a crack at it." The 'Bomb' was hovering in front of him, he looks to his left, and sees the outlines of a ODST helmet, "What the-"

"Disarm it." (F/N) said, voice modifier on, Washington jumps, "Whoa!"

"Hey! No sudden movements ass-muncher! Now yellow fuck, disarm it!" York looks at it (F/N) uncloaks and walks next to Demo.

Carolina noticed him, "Well, well, if it isn't Reaper."

(F/N) turns around, "If it isn't the Top Freelancer, Carolina, wasn't it?"

"You remember me, I'm flattered." The Recruit looks at Carolina, then to (F/N), "Who's the girl?"

"Her? That's the new guy, uh, girl." Washington corrects himself.

"Name?" (F/N) folds his arms, "Oh, her name is-"

"Agent Texas." Tex said, cutting of Wash.

"Texas, you must be the one who caused me and Demo here to swim in water that froze our balls."

"Not sorry about that." (F/N) scoffs, "You will be, well York? Are you gonna defuse the bomb or admire it."

"Funny, it's not a bomb, it's a transmitter."

"Okay, its not a bomb!" Demo Man shouts to his men, (F/N) unfolds his arms, "A transmitter? What's it transmitting?"

"Our location." York said, a bit confused.

Lasers appear around York, everyone looks at them, it then closes in and turns into one laser as it is pointing at the transmitter, "Oh shit, wait, there was four of them." (F/N) said.

Wash and York are just standing there, (F/N) looks to his right and sees Carolina just casually stroll behind a few guards, her armor color just like theirs, she then turns Aqua and beats the shit out of them, (F/N) looks to his right and sees a shimmer, that was Tex, taking out a few guards too.

"She has cloaking too, odd, the minute The Reaper comes back, Project Freelancer gets a new Recruit, coincidence?" Chi asks, (F/N) hums.

He hears footsteps run up behind him, he grabs the Gravity Hammer and bitch slaps Carolina with it, sending her flying to the wall that has the staircase leading downstairs, "Bitch-slapped by the hammer, nice!" Demo Man chuckles. (F/N) then 360 spins and clocks Tex with it, she groans as she tumbles on the roof and almost slides off the edge, she slowly gets up.

"Why is that transmitter, transmitting our location?" (F/N) asks, calmly.

"You'll see." Tex said.

York gives Demo Man the transmitter, "Uh, (F/N)?"

"Yeah?"

"Target locked." (F/N) swears he heard a MAC cannon go off..... in the....distance.

(F/N) looks up, same as Demo Man, incoming, "Oh, son of a...." They both said as the MAC cannon came down, (F/N) got launched back, he slowly gets up and sees a Pelican, he looks at Tex who runs, grabs a jet-pack, and kicks the Sarcophagus off the roof before flying off. (F/N) sees the gaping hole in the center of the building, he then sees that the roof was caving in.

"RUN!" Chi shouts.

(F/N) gets up, grabbing the Gravity Hammer and jumping off the building.

He looks to his right to see the three Agents, and the Sarcophagus, free-falling, Carolina reaches for it and rides on it, the Pelican, lines up and opens the rear doors, on cue two Hornets appear, one fires at Carolina, she jumps off as the Sarcophagus gets shot and spirals, 'Careful you idiots!' (F/N) jet-packs to them and lands on it, he sees Tex swoops in, (F/N) fires at her and hits her right arm, she shouts in pain and dive bombs (F/N) who pulls out his Gravity Hammer, Tex stops and grabs the Hammer, they both struggle on the Sarcophagus, Tex then punches the center of the staff of the Gravity Hammer and breaks it, (F/N)'s eyes widen, but not before smacking her off the Sarcophagus with the remaining half of his Gravity Hammer, he then gets tackled by York off the Sarcophagus, he releases the Gravity Hammer and upper cuts York off of him.

"Whoa!" Shouts York.

(F/N) regains posture and watches as Wash shoots the Hornet's Pilot, making the Pilot crash into the building, (F/N) uses his jet-pack to fly to the other Hornet, he lands on the side and knocks on the cockpit, signaling the Pilot to get away.

He does, "Where to?"

"Rendezvous with the Response Team! (Turns on Comm, looks to see Tex flying The Sarcophagus and Wash into the Pelican) This is Reaper, the Freelancers have The Sarcophagus, I repeat, they have The Sarcophagus, has Team B completed their objective?"

"Negative, Cops got them pinned, but Rhee booked it, status on Demo and Sharkface?"

"Sharkface is M.I.A, Demo Man is Unknown, a MAC cannon shot at where he was standing."

"Still(Coughs) here! Wait..... where's my left arm?!"

"Demo Man is alive, now get out of the building! It's gonna come down! Someone get eyes of Rhee, Response Team, I'm en-route to your position. (Turns off Comm) Wait, where's Agent Maine?"

Chi appears, "Before Sharkface engaged Wash and Carolina, Carolina kicked Maine out a window to counter the weight of The Sarcophagus, which is how it got on the roof, while Maine lands in a Vehicle Depot."

"Let me guess...." He hears a distant honking from a Warthog.

"They have slightly improved their improvising." Chi remarks.

"Slightly." The tower crumbles.

After a while, (F/N) meets up with the Response Team, Girlie and Sleeveless(Think of a nickname for this guy) hop on their Hornet, Sniper rides with (F/N), "Updates?"

"One of the Freelancers were wounded by the cops, the white armored one." Sniper said

"Wyoming. Anything else?"

"Rhee hasn't checked in, should we keep raising him?" Girlie shouts, (F/N)'s beacon goes off.

"Don't bother, he's most likely dead. Let's find them before they leave the city!" The Hornets take off, (F/N) shuts off the beacon.

"How is he dead?" Sniper asks.

"My beacon went off, it's like a Recovery Beacon."

"Oh, so he's dead, like, dead-dead?"

"Big time."

"There they are!" Girlie shouts. (F/N) looks on the highway, there they are indeed, York driving, Maine with the briefcase, and Carolina on the turret, Sleeveless tosses (F/N) a Battle Rifle, "Plan?"

"Hey, you're not mute after all dude, alright, Girlie, Sleeveless, with me, Sniper, get ahead of them, find a vehicle to lay down on and do your magic. Sync."

"Sync." They all said.

"Go, go, go!" They jump off the Hornets and activate their jet-packs, "Flank them!"

York checks over his shoulder, "Behind us!"

Carolina opens fire on them with the turret, Girlie gets on top of a truck, while Sleeveless hovers behind it with (F/N), (F/N) and Sleeveless look at each other and nod, they rush out, Sleeveless on the right, (F/N) on the left, Girlie rushes a bit in the middle with her Assault rifle. (F/N) notices Sniper following the plan.

"Suppressing fire on the turret!" (F/N) shouts, they managed to make Carolina duck, she stops shooting, Sniper has Carolina in his sights.

"Come on, Carolina, duck!" Maine notices the laser and takes the bullet, the shot to the chest renders him unconscious.

"Maine? Sniper!" Carolina ducks.

Chi appears, "Agent Tex is on her way." (F/N) glances over his shoulder, he doesn't see anything, "Might want to get that briefcase, or should we switch to Plan B?" Chi asks.

"Plan A hasn't failed yet. (Looks to his right on the highway below, sees a figure with black armor on a motorcycle, holding a Rocket Launcher) Seems The Director gave her some toys, even more curious." He then sees Tex jump up a ramp and destroys one of the Hornets, throwing her Rocket Launcher away, along with SMG fire on the soldiers on the Mongooses behind them.

(F/N) looks at Girlie and Sleeveless, motioning them to 'Move up!' They do, Girlie attacks them first, she lands on the Warthog, Carolina kicks the Assault rifle out of her hands and kicks her chest, Girlie is launched back a bit, she pulls out her knife and goes to slice Carolina when she had her back turned, but Carolina heard the jet-pack boost and ducks, she goes for a roundhouse kick but Girlie ducks in time, she goes for a left swing, Girlie blocks, she goes for a shank, Carolina grabs her arm, then Girlie jet-packs up and kicks Carolina in the chin, Carolina fumbles on the front of the Warthog, Girlie takes the case, only for Carolina to kick her off and fumble with the case.

"Got it!" Sleeveless kicks her back on the front of the Warthog and puts the case on his back, he pulls out his Battle Rifle to execute Maine, only for York to do a hard drift, causing Carolina and Sleeveless to fall on the back of a truck platform with Oil drums, Maine wakes up.

(F/N) goes with Girlie to assist the Sleeveless Insurrection, they unload both pistols at Carolina who took cover behind one of the Oil Drums, Sleeveless starts throwing them at Maine and York.

"Would you quit throwing shit?!" York shouts, "On your left! On your left!" York warns Maine, they duck as the Sniper takes a few shots at them, York then rams the Warthog into the platform behind the truck, causing him to fly up in the air, he regains control and activates his jet-pack, flying up, only for Maine to give him the left hook of the century, sending him to the ground.

"Ouch." Chi said.

Maine then jumps on the platform, trying to tackle Girlie, only for her to jet-pack out of the way, Maine was to slow for the agile female, so him and Carolina went back to back, Girlie looks at (F/N), "Keep that Warthog off of us! Three's a crowd! Sir!"

(F/N) grins, "Now they're giving you orders? I like them already." Chi jokes, (F/N) aims at York, York looks at (F/N), "Oh shit!" He swerves to avoid the magnum shots, he then notices York holding something in his left hand.

"A Brute Shot?" (F/N) reloads and continues firing, York does a ballsy move and tosses the Brute shot to Carolina, "Girlie! On your left!" Girlie notices and shoots at Carolina, but she Matrix jumps in the air, dodging the bullets and stabbing Girlie, Girlie groans and tosses her pistol to Sleeveless, who ends up besting Maine by shooting his throat once, throwing him to the ground of the platform and unloading the clip in his throat.

(F/N) lands on the Warthog, he puts his pistols on his legs and pulls out his sword, it shines in the light, "CAROLINA!" York shouts, Carolina was moping the floor with Sleeveless and Girlie, (F/N) hears a faint grunt, Chi looks.

"Uh, (F/N)." Girlie shoots Maine, making his aim go awry, (F/N) snaps his head to his left, he sees Maine fire the Brute Shot, the shot makes the truck lose control and swerve all over the place, (F/N) looks at York.

"Gotta run." (F/N) flies to the four who were flying in the air, Maine hits the ground twice, bouncing, and gets hit by a speeding truck, sending him off road completely, (F/N) grabs the briefcase, rolls and jet-packs too the Hornet with Sleeveless, Girlie must've flown off the highway.

"Get us out of here!" (F/N) shouts to the pilot on Comm, the pilot nods and flies off, (F/N) looks back at the Warthog, then way back in the distance, he can see the Sniper, he lived as he is riding in the back of a Warthog, or a transport Warthog, he then sees Tex ride up, shooting her SMG at them, (F/N) ducks, Sleeveless does too, he knocks on the Hornet, the pilot flies into the tunnel, not before damaging the door controls, Tex follows.

(F/N) looks to the exit, then back to Tex and.....Carolina, who was on foot, using her armor enhancement, Speed Boost.

"She is determined. I can see why you have a crush on her." Chi said.

"Well, there is only one way to end this."

"Plan B?" Chi asks.

"Plan B." (F/N) nods, he looks back to the exit, Chi then flashes red, "Warning! Incoming Vehicle!" (F/N) and Sleeveless look back to see the motorcycle that Tex had.... flying straight towards them.

"BAIL!" (F/N) shouts, they jump as the Hornet explodes.

"WHOA!" Sleeveless shouts, they use their jet-packs to escape, (F/N) hands Sleeveless the case, "Plan B!" Sleeveless nods and flies off, (F/N) does too, Carolina looks at The Reaper and The Sleeveless Insurrectionist, she growls and goes for the briefcase, while (F/N) gets ready for a flanking maneuver.

He goes max speed, he comes into view and sees Carolina, no helmet, and Tex holding the briefcase, (F/N) does a war cry, Tex turns around to get shoulder fucked, into a speeding car that sent her flying, Carolina uses her Grapple Gun to get the briefcase, only for (F/N) to hover in front of her and land.

"I must say, Project Freelancer sure does know how to pick them. Now." (F/N) pulls out his Katana, "Hand the case over."

"Come and get it." Carolina growls, putting the briefcase on her back and getting in a stance, before groaning in pain, holding her side, she hit the wall that leads to the lower part of the highway, that probably leads to a train station or a subway.

(F/N) sighs, he knew this fight wouldn't be fair, he puts his Katana back in it's sheathe and walks over to her, she throws a punch, only for (F/N) to grab her fist and slowly twist it down, she grunts in pain as she gets down on one knee, (F/N) then lets go and takes the briefcase, he nudges her down, she slowly gets up.

"Agent Carolina, you are in no shape to fight, I am a man of honor, sometimes, and I don't fight opponents who are near death."

"Shut up! I'm not near death!" She stands up, in ready position.

(F/N) face-palms his visor, not before ducking from Tex's swing and using both hands to grab her and fling her up, (F/N) slides to his left and kicks her to Carolina, knocking them both down.

Carolina looks at the ground behind her, a shadow was coming, she grins at the shadow and looks at (F/N), "You're out of time."

(F/N) raises a brow, Tex looks at Carolina, then to (F/N), then to..... "He's gonna feel this in the morning."

Confused, (F/N) looks up, him and Chi look in shock.

"Oh, Son of a Bit-" Again, perfect Unison, even the cut-off.

The impact of the nose of the Pelican sent him flying through the wall, making a gaping hole, he tumbles down the ramp and is knocked the fuck out.

Carolina stands up and grabs her helmet, the Pelican shifts around and opens to reveal both Team A and B, minus Maine, Carolina limps down the hole and down the ramp, and sees (F/N) passed out on the ramp, the briefcase far from him, she pulls out her pistol and aims at his unconscious body, Chi was ready to posses her, York then walks down.

"Come on, let's go."

"I need to finish this."

"Cops will be here any moment, he's not worth it."

"Yes he is, you know what The Director told me, that The Resistance killed (F/N)."

York was shocked to hear this, "What?"

"Turns out he was doing undercover work for The Director, when they found him out, they killed him, and put his remains in a box, just for The Director too see, before his transmission was cut off, he wanted The Director to tell me, that he loved me." York couldn't believe what he was hearing.

York puts a hand on her shoulder, "Listen, I want to avenge (F/N) too by killing this cockbite, but that won't bring him back, would (F/N) want you to do this?"

Carolina lowers the pistol, "No, but I want to do this." She raises it.

"That's enough, Agent Carolina." That voice.

They turn around, "Director?" Carolina asks in disbelief.

The Director walks to the unconscious (F/N), "The Reaper, been a long time, North, Connecticut, apprehend this criminal. Washington, take his gear. Texas, grab the briefcase." Washington takes all the weapons (F/N) had and placed them in a dufflebag, he puts the sword on his back, "This is pretty cool." Wash mutters, feeling the sword.

North and C.T. grab (F/N) and haul him to the Pelican in cuffs, The Director looks at Tex, "Come along, Number 1." Carolina's eyes widen in shock, so does York, Tex looks at Carolina.

"Better luck next time, Carolina."

The Director walks on to the Pelican, his face with sorrow and regret, as he remembers something he should have done a long time ago.

(JUST SO YOU KNOW IN THIS FLASHBACK, YOU WERE A LITTLE RECKLESS)

It was fierce aerial Dogfight, the UNSC, Jett, and (F/N) were in space, protecting a space station guarding a P.O.I, Person Of Interest, from Project Freelancer, (F/N) blows up his fifth Pelican.

"Yahoo!"

"Damn Reaper, another soul taken by you!"

"More like, Souls, because I don't know how many were on that Pelican, Jett, you find anything?"

"Nothing, wait, a ship, in bound from slip-space!"

"Covenant?! How is that-"

"No. Something else."

The Mother of Intervention appears, "Oh shit." (F/N) mutters, on cue, more Longswords appear out of the giant vessel, "Take evasive action!" (F/N) shouts.

"They're evacuating the P.O.I! We need to buy them enough time to retreat!" One of the pilots shout.

"Alright, all Longswords on me! Any remaining Pelicans get back to The Pillar of Autumn! We'll hold off The Director and buy you as much time as we can!"

"May god be with you Spartan."

"Ex-Spartan, Captain, and may god be with you too." (F/N) and the remaining Longswords by his side attack The Mother of Intervention, she starts shooting rockets and her turrets fire also, while the Longswords coming from her, attack (F/N) and the others as well.

"Scatter! Swords 4 and 5, attack the guns! 3 and 11, disable their MAC cannon, 7 and 10, attack their engines and main thrusters, 2, you're with me, we're going to attack the bridge! All other Longswords, keep those fighters off us!"

"Geez (F/N), cool it! We need to buy them time to escape, live to fight another day!" Jett was worried.

"Not today, Today, is a good day to die!" (F/N) shouts.

(F/N) and Jett fire missiles at the bridge, damaging it, the battle goes on, until good news.

"The Pillar of Autumn has retreated!"

"Good, all fighters! Fallback!"

"But we have the Intervention crippled! We could end this!"

"Hell no! Live to fight another day (F/N)! And their ship isn't crippled, not even close!"

(F/N) then looks at the giant ship, it unleashes a barrage of missiles, "Oh shit!" The missiles destroy several of their Longswords, (F/N) growls.

"(F/N)! We need to fallback!" Jett shouts.

"Fucking- LOOK OUT!" (F/N) flew his ship in front of Jett's as an incoming Longsword, that was hit by a missile, spirals out of control, (F/N) flies in front of it to take the hit, his Longsword explodes.

"(F/N)!!!" Jett shouts in horror.

(On The Mother Of Intervention, after the battle)

The salvage team found the remains of (F/N)'s Longsword, and his body, The Director crouches over, "Hmm."

"Director?" The Counselor asks.

He takes off (F/N)'s helmet, "Well, I'll be, it is (F/N). I always saw potential in him, and I knew he was hiding something."

"Sir?" The Counselor asks.

"We got a pulse, very faint, those Spartan Implants must be doing keeping him alive." One of the medics said.

"Prep him for surgery in the Medical Bay, jettison his armor, we have our first recruit for Project Freelancer."

They put his body on a stretcher, "Director, if I may, what are we doing?"

"(F/N) here, will be our first experiment, of being a super soldier from Project Freelancer, I want his memories wiped. And he'll need a new name, Massachusetts, since he and Carolina both went there on vacation during the summer with friends."

"Yes. Sir." The Director walks off.

The Counselor goes to the Medical Bay, he sees a lying (F/N) on a bed, in his black spandex skin-suit, his armor gone, his implants were tampered with, The Counselor knew what he had to do next.

But he disobeys.

(F/N)'s eyes open, "Easy there, you have been through quite the ordeal."

He groans, "Where am I?"

"You are aboard The Mother of Intervention, your name is Agent Massachusetts, part of Project Freelancer, we are trying to win a war."

"War?"

"The Great War between Humans and Aliens, they are called, The Covenant, and they will wipe us out, only you, can stop them." Lenard lies.

"Me?"

"Yes, now, who are you?" The Counselor asks.

There was one tiny detail that (F/N) left out, it wasn't until in the 1st part of his video, showing him as Agent Massachusetts, that he was slowly remembering, and by that...

"My name is Agent Massachusetts, what do you need done?"

...He had Amnesia.
